A Bathroom Built
For Now And Later.
Curbless showers, built-in benches, grab-bar blocking, niches, linear drains, large-format tile and better lighting. Spa-level looks, designed so you can keep using it comfortably for years.
Luxury That Makes Sense
Beautiful Today.
Smart For
The Long Haul.
The best bathrooms we build look like a hotel spa and work like they were planned by someone who's thought about the next 20 years. That's because they were.
A curbless walk-in shower looks sleek and modern. It's also a lot easier to step into when your knees aren't what they used to be. A built-in bench is a nice place to shave your legs today and a real safety feature down the road. Hidden blocking in the walls means grab bars can go in anytime, anywhere, without tearing out tile.
That's aging-in-place design. It doesn't look clinical. It just looks good, and it keeps working as life changes.

What We Build In
The Details
That Matter
These are the features our clients ask for most, and the ones that make the biggest difference day to day.
Curbless Showers
A zero-threshold entry with the floor properly sloped so water stays where it belongs. Clean look, no trip hazard.
Built-In Benches
A tiled bench inside the shower for comfort, shaving, or sitting down when you need to.
Grab-Bar Blocking
Solid wood blocking framed into the walls so grab bars can be mounted securely now or years from now.
Shower Niches
Recessed shelves built into the wall. No more bottles lined up on the floor or a rusty caddy.
Linear Drains
A long, slim drain along one edge that lets the floor slope one direction. Makes curbless showers work and looks sharp.
Large-Format Tile
Bigger tiles mean fewer grout lines, less scrubbing and a clean, high-end look.
Better Lighting
Layered lighting at the vanity, in the shower and overhead, so you can actually see what you're doing.
Built for SETX Humidity
Proper waterproofing and ventilation so Gulf Coast moisture doesn't turn into mold behind your new tile.
Tub-to-Shower Conversions
Swap the tub you never use for a walk-in shower that's easier to get in and out of.
Aging-in-Place
Stay In
The Home
You Love.
A lot of our bathroom calls come from folks who want to stay in their house for the long run. Some come from adult kids planning ahead for a parent. Either way, the bathroom is usually the first room that needs to change.
We plan for easy entry, safe footing, places to sit and places to hold on, while keeping the room warm and beautiful. Nobody wants a bathroom that looks like a hospital.

How Design-Build WorksStraight Answers
Common Questions
What is a curbless shower?
A curbless (or zero-threshold) shower has no step or curb at the entrance. The bathroom floor flows right into the shower, and the shower floor is sloped toward a drain, often a linear drain, so the water stays inside. It looks modern and it's easier and safer to walk into.
What does "aging-in-place" mean for a bathroom remodel?
It means designing the bathroom so you can keep using it safely and comfortably as you get older or if mobility changes. Common features include curbless showers, built-in benches, blocking in the walls for grab bars, handheld shower heads, slip-resistant floors and better lighting.
Why put blocking in the walls if I don't need grab bars yet?
Blocking is solid framing behind the wall where grab bars can be anchored securely. It costs very little to add while the walls are open, and it means you can add grab bars later without tearing out your new tile.
Can you convert my tub into a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of the most common bathroom projects we do, and they can be built with a curbless entry, a bench, and niches.
How do you handle moisture and humidity in Southeast Texas bathrooms?
Waterproofing and ventilation are a big part of every bathroom we build. Southeast Texas humidity is no joke, so we pay close attention to what goes behind the tile, not just what you see.
Do you remodel bathrooms in Beaumont and Silsbee?
Yes. We're based in Lumberton and remodel bathrooms throughout Beaumont, Silsbee, Kountze, Vidor, Orange, Nederland, Port Neches, Groves and across Southeast Texas.
